形态描述
体略平扁。后部侧扁，尾柄高。头宽扁。体长为头长的4倍以下。眼小。须4对，上颌须基部有皮褶与吻部相连，后部尖细，超过鳃孔。鳃膜连峡部，间距甚小。胸部褶皱形成吸着器，后缘不超过胸鳍基部。胸鳍短；背、胸鳍具刺，前者后缘粗糙，后者锯齿明显。脂鳍短，与臀鳍相对。
生物学
